Material Receiver / Handler
Responsible for the receiving, storage and distribution of all materials delivered to the Materials Management Department. Orders, picks and stocks medical supplies in clinical departments. Responsible for maintaining the PAR level systems in the storeroom and throughout the facility, including the adjustment of stock levels. Also responsible for related functions such as data entry in the Materials Management Information System. Demonstrates the knowledge and assessment skills necessary to communicate, educate, and provide a therapeutic and safe environment for specific age groups served. Must be able to respect diversity of each individual’s values, culture, spiritual beliefs, and other socio-economic issues in addressing the needs of patients, visitors, and co-workers. Must effectively interact with peers, managers, and other health team members while maintaining quality standards. Participates in hospital and department performance improvement activities.
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Experience working with inventory preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
